1.
Where do our physicians have hospital privileges?
Sequoia Hospital and Lucille Packard Childrens Hospital (Stanford)
2.
To Select a physician from Kid Kare, do I need to fill out paperwork before I deliver the baby?
No, we do not require any paperwork prior to your baby’s arrival. When you deliver the baby, the hospital will ask who your pediatrician will be, and you give them the physician’s name at that time. The hospital will contact our office. At this time you may download the registration forms on the download forms section and fill out the forms in the convenience of your home.
3.
What is the office policy on vaccinations?
At Kid Kare we firmly believe in vaccinating every child. We want to know that your child is protected the best way possible. While your child is too young to receive the vaccine, we want to know that the other children in the office will not carry an unnecessary illness to your child.
4.
Will I be able to make changes to the vaccination schedule?
Yes, this is a personal decision between you and your physician.
5.
Is there a recommendation for or against circumcision and where and when would it be done?
The choice for circumcision is entirely up to the parents. The circumcision is done at the hospital.
6.
Which physicians are accepting new patients?
All our physicians are accepting newborns.
7.
What do I do if my child is sick after office hours?
For a life threatening emergency call 911 or go to the nearest emergency room. For after hours care or questions regarding urgent illness, please call our office number and follow the voice prompts. You may leave a message for all non emergent questions to be answered the next business day.
8.
Do you have Saturday hours?
We have limited Saturday hours for urgent visits only. We do not schedule these appointments prior to Saturday morning, we request that you call early morning. We may not be available every Saturday.
9.
Do you take my insurance?
Kid Kare participates with many insurance groups. Please contact your insurance carrier to verify our participation. For all HMO insurance, we are contracted through the Mills Peninsula Medical Group. For more information you may call the billing office.
10.
How do you transfer medical records to and from your office?
To have medical records transfered to us, request the records from your current pediatrician, asking them to forward them to Kid Kare Associates. To have your records sent from our office to another office, we need a signed release from the parents requesting the transfer that includes the child's name, date of birth, address, parent names and where you would like the records tranfered to. We use an outside copy service and there will be a fee. Call the office for more information.
